THANK YOU!!

Our first event happened on March 30th, 2025 and was a big success! Thank you to everyone who donated and who came to shop and mingle. The energy was inspiring and I can't wait to do more!

Frequently Asked Questions

Local artists, makers, crafters, reformed hoarders, creative individuals, or anyone who wants to clean out old supplies and possibly find some new ones.

New, like-new and gently used arts, craft and maker supplies. A good rule of thumb: if I can't use it right away (i.e., it needs a lot of TLC to get it to a workable state) don't donate it. Here are some possible items that you might want to donate:

Nothing! This is an experiment to see how much is out there and how this could work.

There are creative recycle and upcycle shops all around, but I haven't found one in Columbus yet (that might be changing soon because of the awesome, creative people in this city). I hate to see good supplies go to waste, so I want to start collecting from the folks who no longer need them and redistributing them to folks who have the ideas and time to make something awesome. If things go well, maybe someday this can turn into something bigger.

For reference, here are some other folks doing this type of thing:

If you want to donate supplies but can’t make the listed times, email hello@maker-exchange.com and let me know when you're available to meet, and we can figure something out.

If you want to shop items but can’t make that time, keep an eye on this page for future events.
